Hand crafted Steampunk leather plague doctor mask. The mask is full grain cowhide leather, hand dyed and hand stitched with heavy duty waxed nylon thread. This mask features Sheridan Style hand tooled leather with flip up magnifying loops on the right side. The left side has solid copper wire wrapping around the lens, metal gears, cogs and watch parts, metal rivets and brass, brass spikes, wood piston, key/keyhole, chains and some edge tooling. The acrylic eye lenses are 2 inch in diameter. The bottom chin portion and cups around the eyes are embossed alligator (cowhide). It has an adjustable one size fits most head strap with solid brass buckle. This mask can be worn over your eyeglasses, too! There are two breathing vents on the bottom and also two each of the eye lens cups to prevent fogging.
The masks are made to order so you can customize the tooling, change the color scheme, or add/change the design elements. The standard design would be as shown in the photos with the dark brown and saddle tan leather, copper wire, and brass buckle. The leather can be dyed in any color combo. The wire wrapping can be done in copper, silver or brass. The buckle comes in brass or nickel.

We absolutely do custom orders! Just let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to make it for you. Make sure on leather items to give all the details- color, size, shape and if you want tooling, please give us as much detail or send a photo in jpg, pdf, tif, or gif
How do I know what size hat to order?
We can custom make your leather hat based off of several different methods- 1. Simply measure the circumference of your head and leave a note in the comments box when ordering. This can be in either centimeters, millimeters or inches. 2. If you know your standard hat size leave in the comments when ordering 3. Use standard Alpha numeric sizing ( standard hat size 6 3/4 = small, 7- 7 1/8 = medium, 7 1/4- 7 3/8 = large, etc.)
When in doubt, just give us the exact circumference in the comments- we actually prefer this as it is much more exact
What is tooling?
Tooling is the carved and/or stamped pattern in your leather item we are making for you. This can be done with almost any image you would like. You provide the image and we can most likely put it on the leather.
